Zumba® in the Circuit

What is Zumba® in the Circuit?

Take the high-energy, Latin-inspired dance-fitness moves of the Zumba® program and mix them with a series of strength exercises at timed intervals and you've got Zumba in the Circuit, the 60-minute workout that's putting a new spin on circuit training.

Now you can be part of the Zumba in the Circuit revolution and join in the world's only, circuit-oriented fitness-party.

What is Circuit Training?

Circuit training
is a combination of high-intensity aerobics (cardio) and resistance training (strength) designed to be easy to follow and target fat loss, muscle building, muscle endurance and heart fitness. An exercise "circuit" consists of "stations" in a circle around the room. Eash station is dedicated to a particular exercise that will work a particular muscle group. The completed circuit provides an entire body workout!

What can I expect in the Zumba in the Circuit class at Fit Fusion?

In this circuit we do not stop - it is a continuous flow of strength training - Zumba cardio - strength training - Zumba cardio for 30-45 minutes. Followed by a 15 minute cool down and relaxing stretch. Each participant moves from each station in 1 minute intervals. This new way to enjoy the Zumba program provides the same FUN upbeat environment of our traditional Zumba class, we even have Beto (the creator of Zumba Fitness) telling us when to move to the next station! How cool is that!
NOTE: each participant can take a break or water as needed.

Who can attend this class?

EVERYONE! All fitness levels are welcome to attend Zumba in the Circuit. Each station will provide a fitness apparatus that will allow you to chose one of 3 levels to complete your workout. Whatever your level of fitness, whether you’re a top athlete or merely a beginner, you can all work together in the same training session. It is perfectly acceptable for you to work at your own pace within each activity and workout-station. Circuit training also lets you really push yourself and set your own goals with the knowledge that you’ve only got 60 seconds worth of any activity before you move on to the next. Your instructors are here to lead and motivate you through, but you are in charge of how hard you work within that 60 seconds.

I'd love to try the class but I'm not real great with my Zumba moves?

This class is PERFECT for those who need to improve their basic Zumba Fitness steps. Each one minute interval focuses on a particular Zumba step which is a great way to help improve your skills and endurance for your other Zumba Fitness classes.

I loved the Zumba Fusion Class - how will this class compare?

In order for Zumba Instructors to offer the Zumba Fitness Program we must continue to comply with the Zumba licensing agreement. That means only conducting classes that are approved by Zumba Fitness, LLC. InZumba® in the Circuit,
you will get the same cardio/strength benefits as you did in Zumba Fusion with the added benefits of the interval training which helps you to burn more calories!

What are the benefits of Zumba in the Circuit?

  • motivating group party atmosphere
  • significantly improve your cardiovascular fitness level by exercising in short bursts
  • strength exercises concentrate on muscle groups which use a lot of energy (calories!)
  • allows you to sustain a raised heart rate for 45 minutes burning more FAT calories
  • excellent for improving strength and body tone
  • Circuit training is psychologically rewarding
  • you get maximum results in the minimum time
  • it's ZUMBA - it is a party!

Rock n Roll'in from 13.1 to 26.2

First of all, I'm not incredibly athletic, but I am very bubbly and energetic. I'll try anything (just about) and want to accomplish as much as I can in this hectic life of mine. So, a little background information- My first half marathon, was 5 years ago in Savannah, GA and I didn't think I was going to be able to finish...but I did! And then, I promptly stopped running :)

Then this year, I sporadically got the itch to accomplish something "athletic." I ran the Folly Beach Save Morris Island Lighthouse half marathon in the POURING RAIN in just under two hours (Literally 1 hour, 59:59 minutes http://www.actioncarolina.com/sl11hres.html.)

After this "runner's high" I decided then and there, I'm going to do a whole marathon and I'm going to do it before I'm 30! I signed up for the Inagural Rock in Roll Savannah Marathon! And here I am, in need of some training, discipline, and accountability.
